    Slightly larger garden sheds like the ORALIE 18 come supplied with a treated pine base frame. Your new log cabin garden shed can be placed on pavers on level ground, though for all log cabins over 10 sqm we do recommend installation on either a concrete slab or a steel purlin base.  Let's have a chat!

Oralie 18

The ORALIE 18 is quite a large square Timber Garden Shed, easily offering accommodation in form of a one-room sleep-out cabin.  It is the slightly smaller version of our popular 50mm wall log thickness OSCAR 20 cabin - just a little smaller and in 28mm thick logs.

It comes with two front windows, offering great ventilation.  Flyscreens can be added to keep those pesty bugs at bay!

FAQ:

  • Can I put up my ORALIE 18 by myself?

    YES - anyone with basic handyman skills can do this, it really isn't complicated.  You will receive detailed instructions and we are always available for advice.

  • How quickly can I get my ORALIE 18 delivered?

    We always aim to have this model in stock, ready-to-go from our warehouse in Northern NSW.  It will always take a few days to get the cabin to you depending on your location, but that's ok - you can use the time to prepare the foundations.

  • What is the best foundation for my ORALIE 18?

    This very much depends on your site conditions, and on your budget.   You can place your ORALIE 18 on pavers which is fine for reasonably level building aites.  If your site slopes you might consider other options.  Let's talk!!

  • How about termites?

    Good question.  While termite are only a problem in the warmer regions of Australia, they are still a major worry.  We recommend to treat the first 3 layers of logs with a suitable pest treatment, either oil or water based. Please contact us for more information.

  • Where does the timber come from?

    There are vast pine plantations in the Baltic States of Europe.  These were planted in the 80s when Russia was still in control.  The Baltic States gained their independance in the early 90s and joined the European Union.  Over the past 30+ years millions of Baltic Pine (also called "Scots Pine") trees have matured and are now being harvested and used in the construction of our cabins.   Some of the timber used is also imported from Finland and Poland..
